Faulty Products

If you received a product that is damaged or becomes damaged due to a manufacturing defect, please contact Customer Care (care@modaoperandi.com) and we will try to make it right, as detailed in this FAQ. 

As used in this FAQ, a Product is “faulty” if it is either delivered damaged, or within the applicable period of time (as detailed below) after delivery to you is discovered to be defective due to a manufacturing fault, in each case, except if such damage or defect is a result of normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, misuse, or neglect.  You must inform us of any fault within the applicable time period.  Moda will determine, in its sole judgment and discretion, whether the damage or defect is as a result of normal wear and tear or some other reason, and may require documentation (such as photographs) to make a determination.

Generally

Except for Products that are couture, vintage, Fine Jewelry, or special order or custom-made, Products are faulty if they are delivered to you damaged or within six (6) months of delivery to you are discovered to have a manufacturing defect. Moda Operandi will endeavor to replace or repair such faulty Products, at our option and at no cost to you, to the extent practicable and subject to availability. If we determine that an eligible Product is faulty and cannot be replaced or repaired, at our discretion and as appropriate, we will provide you with a partial or full refund.  Please note that Moda’s efforts to repair or replace an eligible faulty Product does not extend or modify any Product’s eligibility for a return or refund (if any).  If Moda elects to provide you with a full or partial refund in connection with a faulty Product, Moda may, in its discretion, provide such refund in the form of site credit.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Fine Jewelry

Moda will endeavor to repair or replace, at our option and no cost to you, a Fine Jewelry Product that is delivered to you damaged or found to be faulty within 30 days from delivery to you.  After 30 days from delivery to you, if a Fine Jewelry Product is or becomes damaged for any reason, please reach out to us and let us know, and we will endeavor to work with you to facilitate a suitable repair or replacement option, at your cost. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please note that Moda’s efforts to repair or replace a Fine Jewelry Product does not extend or modify any item’s eligibility for a return or refund.  If Moda elects to provide you with a full or partial refund in connection with a faulty Fine Jewelry Product, Moda may, in its discretion, provide such refund in the form of site credit.
